The Parade

The Pride March/Parade will be held on the Saturday September 26th from City Hall to Millennium Park in downtown Peterborough.

The Parade will begin at approximately 1:00 PM. The planned Parade/March route is approximately 1km and finishes at Millennium Park for the Pride in the Park event which runs until about 5:30 PM.

The theme for Peterborough-Nogojiwanong Pride 2026 is “Woven Together.”

We invite you to reflect on how we are all Woven Together, and what that means to you. Express how we are all Woven Together in your signs, celebrations, events, and protests! You can get creative with the theme by completing the tagline, “with ______.” See some examples below:

    • Woven Together: with love.
    • Woven Together: with art.
    • Woven Together: with resiliency!

The colourful threads of our identities and stories are Woven Together to build the vibrant tapestry of diversity, inclusion, and strength that is the 2SLGBTQIA Community. No thread is more important than the next. It is the unity and connection of each thread that gives us strength and visibility.

Woven Together reminds us that our community is deeply interconnected. When one thread begins to fray or is cut away, the entire tapestry is impacted. As 2SLGBTQIA rights continue to face attacks around the world through transphobia, racism, ableism, sexism, homophobia, and hate, we must stand together and ensure no one is left behind.

This year’s theme is also inspired by the AIDS Quilt, a powerful living memorial to the lives we’ve lost to HIV/AIDS. Each square of the quilt is woven together to tell the story of a life and of those who refuse to let their story be forgotten. As we weave together our stories, we honour the ongoing resilience, love and empathy that sustain us, and we commit ourselves to a future of justice, safety, and collective healing.

You can read more about our 2026 theme, Woven Together, here. You can learn more about the AIDS quilt here.
